Samsung decided to reveal many curiosities about this year’s surprises at CES 2019. One of the most important is that Bixby will soon have support for Google applications. This is an interesting step because the Mountain View company has its own assistant, so it can be a competition.
After launching Bixby smart speaker alongside Galaxy Note 9, Samsung has already revealed quite a lot at the CES 2019 trade fair. Until now, we could learn a lot about the new Korean company equipment, but that’s not all. The Koreans have just revealed that they intend to integrate Bixby with Google applications.
It’s a big step towards Google. Interestingly, Google has its own assistant, competitive to Bixby. The Google Assistant has many interesting features, but the Samsung assistant is also very interesting. It may seem that Bixby, however, will take on the competition’s clients.
In addition, Samsung announced that it will introduce an assistant to its higher-end televisions and QLED versions, intelligent speakers or connected devices. Soon you will be able to listen to your favorite music on iHeartRadio, because the assistant will get support for the radio network.
Samsung and Bixby for Google applications are not the only announcements from CES 2019
Samsung introduced new Family Hub updates for smart homes and refreshed the Digital Cockpit for connected vehicles, which was developed in collaboration with Harman. The company also presented a new line of robotic platforms, including Samsung Bot Care, Bot Air, Bot Retail and GEMS. The Korean company also announced that the first 5G smartphone will be presented in the first half of 2019.
