The iPhone Xr 2 is one of three new Apple phones for 2019. If you believe new information, the company from Cupertino will implement antenna design based on 4 × 4 MIMO. The same was chosen in last year’s Xs and Xs Max models. However, the iPhone Xr has 2 × 2 MIMO. The change will make this year’s Apple smartphone will provide better data transmission.

iPhone Xr 2 will provide better transmission in LTE networks. Apple will bet 4 × 4 MIMO
Apple introduced three new radio technologies into the iPhone XS: 4×4 MIMO, QAM and LAA. MIMO – standing for Multiple Input, Multiple Output – uses multiple antennas to boost the capacity of a radio link

The iPhone Xr 2 is one of three new iOS smartphones that we will see in September 2019. Apple is already working on them and more and more leaks are coming. Now we find out that the Cupertino giant in the new, cheaper model can implement antenna design based on 4 × 4 MIMO. What does it mean?

Design 4 × 4 MIMO is also found in last year’s Xs models. However, the iPhone Xr got 2 × 2 MIMO. The 4 × 4 MIMO implementation should increase the data transmission speed in cellular networks. This is because the number of paths between the phone and the operator towers increases to four. Four antennas allow for faster data transfer. iPhone Xr 2 with LCD screen, but Apple will implement a dual camera

If you believe earlier rumors, then Phone Xr 2 will still have an LCD screen. OLED panels will be reserved for the successors of Xs. However, a camera with two lenses will appear. This should increase the capabilities of the camera.

Information on the implementation of the 4 × 4 MIMO design in the iPhone Xr 2 model comes from the Barclays analysts’ notes, which were obtained by Macrumors. So these are not rumors, but suppositions. So it is not known how much truth there is. We expect the launch of new smartphones with iOS only in September.
