Google Pixel 4 to come soon, patents already show that the upcoming Google’s phone may come with bezel-less and notchless screen design.
A couple of months ago, Google was showing the world its expected and successful Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. And the truth is that when we give the term “successful” we do not say it lightly, since by many experts it was considered the best phone of 2018. But Google does not stop there, therefore, it is working on what will be your new Pixel 4. Discover everything we know so far about Google Pixel 4.
The notch could disappear in the new Google Pixel 4
While the Pixel 3 XL was considered one of the most beautiful phones of 2018, it also received some criticism particularly for the exaggerated size of its notch (for those who do not like it). Therefore, the latest rumors say that Google could get rid of its giant and was notched in the design of its next Pixel 4. A new patent filed with the World Intellectual Property Organization shows a clean screen without notches, holes, or bevels.
Unfortunately, this patent does not show a headphone jack on the bottom or top, unlike the new Pixel 3 Lite.
In general, patents that introduce methods or inventions include very vague illustrations. The drawing included in these two patents seems to be very precise technical illustrations, perhaps derived from CAD models.
Patents do not always have to result in actual products, but if you combine the details of the illustration with the fact that all phones will work without any problem, it seems logical that Pixel 2019 or 2020 will finally be released from the notch.
This will be in line with the deployment of panels that include both the camera and the depth sensors below the screen, as predicted by both the Ice Universe and the Samsung.
